Whoscall Report 2025 Highlights Rising Fraud Threats in Thailand

Bangkok: The Whoscall Report 2025 reveals a concerning trend of increasing scams and fraud threats impacting the daily lives of Thai people. A survey conducted among 1,000 Thai citizens indicates that 72% have encountered scams or fraudsters, while 60% have fallen victim. The total financial damage from these scams exceeds 115 billion baht, highlighting a national crisis of confidence in communication.

According to Thai News Agency, these figures are not just statistics but reflect a broader “shattered trust in our digital lives,” as stated by Manwoo Ju, CEO of Gogolook (Thailand). Ju emphasized the company’s commitment to restoring trust through innovation, outlining a mission focused on promoting safety and trust within Thai society.

In pursuit of this mission, Gogolook (Thailand) is implementing three key strategies: upgrading Whoscall into a comprehensive digital protection platform, expanding a nationwide partnership ecosystem to enhance safety, and fostering sustainable business growth. The aim is to empower communities, build trust, and collaboratively create a safer digital future for all.

Ms. Thitinan Suthinaraphan, Global Marketing Director of Gogolook (Thailand), explained that Whoscall leverages AI technology to develop intelligent features designed to protect Thais from scams, transforming the platform into a community-powered online protection tool. She highlighted that the integration of AI intelligence with community strength is what sets Whoscall apart.

The revamp of Whoscall involves not just aesthetic changes but also enhancements in features, branding, concepts, and user experiences to ensure ongoing protection for Thais in the digital age. Ms. Thitinan stressed the importance of community involvement in reporting scams, which contributes to broader societal protection. She encouraged all Thais to participate actively in reporting scams, thereby increasing awareness and safety across the nation.
