Chaiyaphum: Outrage erupted following an incident where a young man was deceived and subsequently attacked in a temple at Wat Non Hua Chang Rattanaram, Chaturas District. The victim’s wife, who witnessed the event alongside their children, reported that they were ambushed by a group of men unknown to them. The family has urged law enforcement to promptly apprehend the assailants.
According to Thai News Agency, the victim’s wife recounted that a woman initially contacted them to create a sacred object, arranging to meet at a local gas station. Upon their arrival at the temple, four men appeared and violently assaulted her husband without any provocation. One of the attackers threatened her husband with a firearm, while another insisted on physically assaulting him further. The attackers fled the scene afterward, leaving the family distressed and insecure. A formal complaint has been lodged at Chaturas Police Station, with the victim’s wife emphasizing the necessity for swift police action.

It is suspected that the attackers were outsiders masquerading as participants in this project. The temple is currently preparing for the upcoming Kathin ceremony on November 2-3. Another temple boy, having viewed the clip of the incident, was unable to identify the attackers and confirmed his absence during the incident.
Pol. Col. Athit Chatchai Rattanawet, Superintendent of Chaturat Police Station, stated that the victims have been directed to file a daily report and undergo medical evaluation. Investigators plan to examine CCTV footage from the vicinity to identify the perpetrators and proceed with legal measures.
