Anutin Dismisses Cabinet Speculation, Prioritizes Family Ritual Before Prime Minister Vote

Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, has dismissed rumors about preparing a cabinet list, stating that no such list exists yet. He emphasized his intention to honor his parents as a gesture of seeking good fortune before participating in the vote for the 32nd Prime Minister.

According to Thai News Agency, Anutin returned to Parliament this evening, where he was met with questions from reporters eager to know the composition of what they termed “Anutin’s first Cabinet.” Speculation included whether Anutin himself would assume the role of Minister of the Interior. Anutin responded emphatically, “Oh, no!” and clarified that there was no cabinet arrangement at this stage, as the leadership had not yet been decided.

When asked if he planned to pay respects to sacred objects prior to entering Parliament House for the prime ministerial vote, Mr. Anutin explained that he considers paying respects to his father and mother as the most auspicious act he can perform in such circumstances.
