Bangkokthonburi University Hosts Vibrant Orientation Ceremony for New Students

Bangkok: “Shark Jus-Nong Ying” along with 6-time university sports champions joined the orientation to welcome new students to Kasetsart University. Bangkokthonburi University (BTU) organized an orientation ceremony for the new students for the academic year 2025 at the Bangkok Thonburi Hall. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bang-orn Benjatikul, President of Bangkokthonburi University, presided over the ceremony and addressed the new students, emphasizing the importance of community and learning. He highlighted the university’s large family consisting of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students and the role of qualified lecturers in guiding students towards a fulfilling educational journey.

According to Thai News Agency, the orientation activity was attended by notable figures such as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duangrit Benjatikul Chaiyrungruang, Member of the House of Representatives, and Mr. Peera Chan, Director of the Sports Office. They were accompanied by the 6-time champion team of the University Games of Thailand, along
with prominent Thai national athletes including ‘Shark Jus’ Dulyawat Kaewsriyong, a swimmer, ‘Ying’ Suthasinee Sawettabut, a table tennis player, Jonnasan Bodemar, a chess player, Phutawan Sopha, a sepak takraw player, and Thanet Nituthorn, a Thai boxer. Over 40 athletes joined in, contributing to an atmosphere of pride due to the university’s six consecutive championship victories.

The event featured diverse activities from all 16 faculties, showcasing the academic breadth of the institute, from medicine and health technology to arts and architecture. Executives, lecturers, students from the artist program, celebrities, and media personalities such as ‘Dee’ Pattama Panthong, ‘Ae’ Duangporn Naengnoi, and ‘Nong Gift’ Kamonporn Thongphon, Miss Universe Nakhon Si Thammarat, participated. New graduates of the Master of Business Administration program, current students, alumni, and Thai national athletes who study at the university also joined to welcome the new students, demonstrating the university’s dedication
to nurturing student potential and skill development.
