Bangkok: The atmosphere at Ta Kwai Temple was unusually crowded with over 200 Cambodian tourists amidst the rain that had been falling all day. Cambodians brought offerings into the Ta Kwai Temple, where the ceremony was being held, and they performed a ceremony in Khmer. During that time, a 76-year-old Cambodian man with one leg amputated from Siem Reap Province used a cane to support himself as he climbed the stairs of the temple. Out of good will, the Thai people were afraid that the man with the leg amputee would slip and fall because the stairs were thick with moss, so they warned him, ‘Be careful not to slip and fall, Grandpa. Walk carefully.’ Before he could finish, instead of thanking the man with the leg amputee, he replied, ‘Even if you fall, you will fall on Cambodian soil.’
According to Thai News Agency, in addition, there was an argument between Cambodian and Thai tourists, including Cambodian and Thai soldiers, after a Cambodian tourist brought a scarf with the Cambodian flag symbol to show the symbol. Thai officers stopped them until the argument broke out, but it did not escalate, only causing a nuisance.
