Bangkok: Chaikasem Nitisiri, a Prime Ministerial candidate for the Pheu Thai Party, has made a bold promise to dissolve parliament immediately upon being elected, bypassing the usual four-month waiting period. This announcement was made during a press conference held at his private residence, where he was joined by key political figures, including Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, Mr. Chusak Sirinil, Ms. Jiraporn Sindhuphrai, and Pol. Col. Thawee Sodsong.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chaikasem has assured that the Pheu Thai Party will accept all proposals put forth by the Prachachon Party. He emphasized his commitment to returning power to the people and facilitating democratic elections by promptly dissolving parliament if he assumes the Prime Ministerial role. This pledge signifies a direct approach to addressing the political demands and expectations of the electorate.
Mr. Chaikasem reiterated his dedication to this promise, stating that both he and the Pheu Thai Party, as the prospective core government, would adhere to the agreement without introducing any changes or conditions.
