Bangkok: Chonburi FC emerged victorious in the Chang Junior Cup 2025, securing their third championship title in Thailand’s premier youth football tournament for under 13s. This annual event, backed by Chang Natural Mineral Water, aims to elevate the football industry to a global stage by fostering young talent.
According to Thai News Agency, the championship matches took place on June 15, 2025, at Insi Chan Sathit Stadium, Kasetsart University, Bangkok. The event was graced by key figures including Mr. Surapol Utintu of Chang Natural Mineral Water, Mr. Patrick Horattanachai from Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, and other distinguished guests. The tournament concluded with Chonburi FC defeating Assumption Thonburi School 1-0 in a tense final, thanks to a decisive goal by player number 10, Panyawarit Ketprasit, during extra time.
The runner-up, Assumption Thonburi School, will receive a scholarship of 50,000 baht, while Police Tero FC, who secured third place with a 2-0 victory over Army FC, will receive 30,000 baht. Army FC, finishing in fourth place, will be awarded a scholarship of 20,000 baht.
Special awards were also presented, recognizing exceptional talent in the tournament. Best Goalkeeper was awarded to Krittachat Suksawat from Army FC, Best Defender to Suphanat Thongkham from Assumption Thonburi School, Best Midfielder to Kritsakorn Mulsrisuk, and Best Forward to Kritsada Buakhajorn, both also from Assumption Thonburi School. The Most Valuable Player accolade went to Panyawarit Ketprasit of Chonburi FC.
Chang Natural Mineral Water further honored outstanding players with opportunities to experience football in England, including Most Talented Player Sorachai Pharunai from Police Tero FC, and Chang Sportsmanship Awards to Marudech Chamnanwong and Puncharasmi Phurisuraprasin from Royal Navy FC.
The Chang Junior Cup 2025 was a collaborative effort involving the Sports Authority of Thailand, the Football Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, King Power Group, Bootroom Co., Ltd., and Molten (Thailand) Co., Ltd. This initiative marks 30 years of Chang Natural Mineral Water’s dedication to nurturing Thai football from the youth level, propelling young athletes towards professional careers. The tournament’s winners will gain valuable exposure in England, contributing to their growth and development in the sport.
