According to Thai News Agency, throughout the day, people have been coming to give supplies to soldiers and villagers in the Chong Bok area of Nam Yuen District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. The intention is to encourage them as they navigate the tense situation. Villagers are calling for an end to the conflict for the well-being of people on both sides, sharing painful memories of past conflicts, including the necessity of bomb shelters.

Mr. Boonthan Phaphon, a 60-year-old local resident, shared that he has been closely following the negotiation results and news exchanged between the two countries, which have been a source of concern for him over the past half month. He expressed his desire for peace and urged consideration for the people of both nations.

Mr. Boonthan recounted his personal experience of stepping on a landmine in 1988 while searching for forest products, a consequence of the border conflict in 1985. He also recalled taking refuge in a bomb shelter, a painful memory of survival.

At the Dom Pradit Subdistrict Administrative Organization, the village headquarters, people including the Ubon Ratchathani Chamber of Commerce and the provincial governor, who led the Ubon Ratchathani Tourism Association, participated in activities offering gifts to soldiers and inspecting bomb shelters.
