Bangkok: The leaders of Thailand’s coalition government convened with Prime Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra to deliberate on a potential cabinet reshuffle. This crucial meeting took place at 2:00 p.m. at the Rosewood Hotel, marking a significant moment in Thai politics.
According to Thai News Agency, the discussion was attended by key figures from various coalition parties. Mr. Pirapan Salirathavibhaga, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, represented the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party. Mr. Chalermchai Sri-on, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, and Mr. Decha Isara Khaothong, the Deputy Minister of Public Health, were present as leaders and secretary-general of the Democrat Party, respectively. Ms. Narumon Pinyosinwat, the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, attended as the leader of the Klatham Party.
Also in attendance was Mr. Worawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security, leading the Chartthaipattana Party alongside Mr. Prasert Pothasuthon, the party’s secretary-general. Pol. Col. Thawee Sodsong, the Minister of Justice, and Mr. Sukarno Matha, secretary-general, represented the Prachachart Party. Mr. Suwat Liptapanlop, chairman of the Chartpattana Party, participated in the meeting as well.
Representing the Pheu Thai Party, in addition to Prime Minister Paethongtarn, were Mr. Surawong Thienthong, Minister of Tourism and Sports, and Dr. Prommin Lertsuridej, Secretary-General to the Prime Minister. The discussions are expected to address key positions within the cabinet, aligning with the strategic goals of the coalition government.
