Bangkok: The commander of the Eastern Task Force: has dismissed Cambodia’s legal action against the Internet of Things (IOT) team concerning the use of ghost sounds in the Ban Nong Chan and Ban Nong Ya Kaeo areas on Thai soil. He stated that complaints could be made, but it wouldn’t impact the operations as they occur within Thailand’s borders. Furthermore, he assured that the soldiers’ morale remains unaffected.
According to Thai News Agency, Major General Benjapol Dechatiwong Na Ayutthaya, who commands the 2nd Infantry Division, King’s Guard and the Burapha Force, addressed the lawsuit, asserting the right to conduct operations involving Thai ghost sounds in the contested areas. He emphasized that such activities were legitimate as they took place within Thai territory.
Cambodia is reportedly keeping a close watch on the developments and is evaluating the situation continuously. The Major General highlighted that any negotiations should be approached with sincerity and clarity. The public has also been urged to support by maintaining the confidentiality of the security forces’ locations.
