Bangkok: Chatuporn and Chantawit led a team of commerce officials to distribute relief bags to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the Thai-Cambodian border disaster. Mr. Chatuporn Buruspat, Minister of Commerce, along with Mr. Chantawit Tantasith, Deputy Minister of Commerce, oversaw the distribution of relief bags to aid victims at the Weights and Measures Office, Department of Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chatuporn emphasized the Ministry's concern for the affected individuals. A team was assembled to pack over 1,000 relief bags containing rice, dried food, drinking water, medicine, and essential consumer goods. These supplies are intended to provide immediate relief to impacted areas.

Provincial commerce officials have been directed to ensure fair distribution of consumer goods. Chatuporn highlighted the importance of preventing shortages and price hikes. Citizens are encouraged to report any instances of hoarding or price gouging to the Ministry of Commerce hotline at 1569 or to local commerce officials.

Mr. Chatuporn also outlined additional measures to mitigate the situation along the Thai-Cambodian border. These include monitoring product prices and availability. Surveys indicate that supplies in border areas and shelters remain adequate and reasonably priced. Essential items such as instant noodles, canned fish, mosquito repellent, and diapers are being restocked. "Blue Flag" products have been introduced to help reduce living costs. Efforts to connect markets and expand distribution channels continue, including the Thai Fruits Festival 2025 and the use of airlines for product distribution.
