Bangkok: The Constitutional Court has unanimously decided not to accept the appeal lodged by Mr. Nattaporn Toprayoon, which sought to challenge the Election Commission’s role in alleged collusion during the selection of senators. The court’s decision was based on an earlier order, No. 36/2568 dated April 9, 2568, which also declined to entertain the petition.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Nattaporn had requested a review of the Constitutional Court’s previous order, seeking an acceptance of the petition for consideration. However, the court found that the appeal did not satisfy the legal criteria as the Constitution and the Organic Act on the Procedure of the Constitutional Court 2018 do not grant individuals the right to appeal the court’s decisions or orders.
The court concluded that Mr. Nattaporn’s petition did not meet the requirements set under Section 213 of the Constitution, which dictates the criteria, methods, and conditions for filing such appeals. Consequently, Mr. Nattaporn is unable to proceed with his petition under the specified constitutional section.
