Crime Suppression Division to Convene on “Dr. B” Case Amidst Speculation

Bangkok: Next week, the “Dr. B” case will be discussed. The Deputy Commander of the Crime Suppression Division believes the suspect has not fled.

According to Thai News Agency, the Crime Suppression Division is preparing to meet with a dedicated working group to discuss the ongoing investigation into Mr. Seksan, commonly referred to as “Dr. B.” Police Colonel Anek Taosuphap, Deputy Commander of the Crime Suppression Division, has provided updates on the investigation, specifically focusing on Mr. Seksan’s alleged fraudulent behavior related to soliciting donations for a project at Wat Phra Bat Nam Phu. The meeting, scheduled for early next week, aims to review the information collected by officials, including interviews with relevant individuals, to determine if Mr. Seksan’s actions constitute a crime. The exact date for this meeting is still under discussion.

Progress has been made in gathering evidence, but certain details remain undisclosed. Police Colonel Anek has addressed rumors of potential flight by those involved, stating his belief that no one is likely to flee. Despite reports suggesting the possibility of Mr. Seksan or his associates fleeing, they currently face no charges and are not under arrest warrants, thus preventing the police from imposing travel restrictions or seizures.

The working group, led by the Crime Suppression Division, is intensifying efforts to gather sufficient evidence to seek an arrest warrant from the court, should any criminal actions be confirmed.
