Nakhon Sawan: In a determined effort to apprehend a suspect in a murder case, police in Nakhon Sawan have utilized drones and organized a ground team to tighten the search area. This follows an overnight blockade that yielded no results.
According to Thai News Agency, the case revolves around the murder of Mr. Chuthapetch, also known as Uan, from Ayutthaya. His body was discovered in a 200-liter plastic drum at the Huai Yai Takhro reservoir in Phaisali district. The body was in a cross-legged position, clad in long pants resembling black sweatpants and a green long-sleeved shirt. It bore evidence of a shotgun wound to the left chest, with bullets scattered across the chest. Distinct tattoos were present on the body, including images of Narayana and various Yantras. The deceased had been dead for 3-5 days.
On May 28, Takhro police investigators sought an arrest warrant from the Nakhon Sawan Court for Mr. Parawi, also known as Game, aged 35. Evidence suggested that he was responsible for shooting the victim in Village 4, Nong Makha Village, Lopburi Province, before transporting the body to the reservoir. The motive was identified as a drug-related conflict.
Following the issuance of the arrest warrant, officers proceeded to the suspect’s residence near Takhro Reservoir. However, the suspect fled to a nearby mountain, prompting officers to surround the area. Attempts were made to persuade him to surrender, involving his mother and aunt. Despite efforts lasting from midnight until morning, the suspect remained at large. This morning, police adjusted their strategy, deploying teams on foot, utilizing paragliders and drones for search operations, and implementing measures to prevent violence. Efforts to communicate with the suspect through a loudspeaker continue, with hopes of his surrender. Authorities anticipate clearing the area and apprehending the suspect today, as they believe he remains on the mountaintop.
