According to Thai News Agency, one of the significant outcomes of the meeting is the planned withdrawal of heavy weapons from the border area, which is set to occur within four weeks. The IOT committee will participate in this process as observers, ensuring transparency and compliance with the agreements made.
Additionally, the meeting addressed the urgent need for mine clearance in the region. Both Thailand and Cambodia have committed to completing mine clearance operations within one week, with a total deadline for these efforts set for one month. The agreement marks a significant step forward in addressing safety concerns and fostering diplomatic relations between the two countries.
