Koh kong: General Nattapol announced the results of a special General Border Committee (GBC) meeting held in Koh Kong, focusing on resolving the ongoing Thai-Cambodian border issue. The discussions have led to an agreement on several key measures to de-escalate tensions and promote peace along the border.

According to Thai News Agency, one of the significant outcomes of the meeting is the planned withdrawal of heavy weapons from the border area, which is set to occur within four weeks. The IOT committee will participate in this process as observers, ensuring transparency and compliance with the agreements made.

Additionally, the meeting addressed the urgent need for mine clearance in the region. Both Thailand and Cambodia have committed to completing mine clearance operations within one week, with a total deadline for these efforts set for one month. The agreement marks a significant step forward in addressing safety concerns and fostering diplomatic relations between the two countries.
