GH Bank Provides Aid to Thai-Cambodian Border Dispute Victims

Buriram: GH Bank visits the area to deliver consumer goods to alleviate the suffering of people affected by the unrest in the Thai-Cambodian border area.

According to Thai News Agency, the Government Housing Bank (GHB), a state-owned financial institution, demonstrated its commitment to supporting individuals affected by the unrest along the Thai-Cambodian border. The bank's initiative is aimed at assisting those who have endured damage to their lives and properties, necessitating evacuation to centers set up by government agencies. To provide immediate relief, GHB visited evacuation centers in Buriram, Si Sa Ket, Ubon Ratchathani, and Surin provinces, distributing consumer goods and drinking water to over 20,000 evacuees. The bank also aimed to boost the morale of both the displaced individuals and the officials managing the crisis.

In addition to these efforts, GH Bank is preparing to supply essential goods to the 2nd Army Area. These supplies are intended to be delivered to soldiers stationed in the Thai-Cambodian border dispute area, supporting their mission and uplifting their spirits in challenging situations.

GH Bank has also rolled out urgent financial measures to assist its customers affected by the border incidents. For customers who have sustained serious injuries or whose homes have suffered damage, the bank has reduced the interest rate to 0.01% per year for five years. In cases where homes are completely uninhabitable or where permanent disability or death has occurred, the interest rate is reduced to 0.01% per year for the contract's duration. Customers seeking to rebuild structures damaged by the disputes can avail themselves of a 0% interest rate for six months.
