Bangkok: Gulf Development Public Company Limited (GULF) has stepped forward to assist soldiers who were injured by a landmine while on a patrol mission at Chong Bok, located at the Thai-Cambodian border in Ubon Ratchathani Province. The company presented a financial gift of 1.2 million baht to the injured soldiers as a token of support and encouragement.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Sitamon Rattanavadi, Assistant to the Executive Vice President of GULF, announced that the financial assistance was directed towards three soldiers who sustained injuries during the mission to protect the sovereignty of the Chong Bok area. The soldiers, Private First Class Thanapat Huiwan, who lost his leg, Sgt. Maj. Patiphat Srilasak, and Private First Class Nattawut Srikhem, received the aid to boost their morale and acknowledge their bravery and sacrifice.
Mr. Sitamon expressed his empathy towards the soldiers, recognizing the challenges faced by those on the frontlines. He highlighted the personal connection, recalling that his grandfather was also a soldier. Additionally, he noted the ongoing needs of the Saraphasit Prasong Camp Hospital in Ubon Ratchathani Province, which requires essential medical equipment and tools to manage injuries and border-related incidents effectively.
Furthermore, companies within the GULF group, such as 'Thaicom' and 'AIS', have contributed to the border protection mission by enhancing communication capabilities. They have provided high-speed internet services via Thaicom's satellite system for border operation centers and mobile units. Moreover, they have expanded the 4G/5G signal to facilitate improved communication for security officials, aiding in real-time coordination and situation monitoring along the border areas.
