Bangkok: Pol. Col. Thawee Sodsong, Minister of Justice, declared that he has not yet received any letter from the Constitutional Court requesting additional witness accounts. He expressed confidence in the transparency of his actions and readiness to comply with any forthcoming requests. Thawee assured that his conduct has been in strict adherence to the rule of law and the constitution.
According to Thai News Agency, the Constitutional Court had ordered the submission of additional witness lists within 15 days concerning a case involving alleged interference in a senator collusion case. Pol. Col. Thawee indicated that he has yet to receive the court’s letter and mentioned that it might be directly sent to the individuals named as witnesses. He remains unsure whether such a letter would be directed through him.
When asked about the completeness of past explanations provided to the court, Thawee stated that he has responded comprehensively to the court’s previous queries and remains unconcerned about the ongoing process. He emphasized his commitment to addressing any future queries from the court promptly and thoroughly.
Pol. Col. Thawee reaffirmed his adherence to constitutional guidelines since assuming office. He stated that his role as Minister of Justice has been executed in full compliance with constitutional and legal standards, ensuring that the justice process remains efficient and just.
Regarding the coalition parties’ dinner scheduled for the evening, Thawee mentioned that the Prachachat Party has no pressing issues to discuss. He sees the gathering as a positive opportunity for government officials to engage with elected House of Representatives members, facilitating an exchange of ideas and addressing public concerns.
