Nakhon nayok: The Nakhon Nayok Provincial Transport Office organized the "New Generation Youth Camp: Safe Riding and Helmets" project, training students from Ban Na "Nayok Phithayakorn" School to develop safe motorcycle riding skills.
According to Thai News Agency, the event took place at Home and Hill Resort in Nakhon Nayok Province, aiming to promote knowledge and instill a sense of safe motorcycle use among students. Mr. Chanon Wasiksiri, Governor of Nakhon Nayok Province, presided over the opening ceremony, joined by Ms. Yaowamas Thiawthong, Nakhon Nayok Provincial Transport Officer, and other government officials.
Mr. Chanon Wasiksiri highlighted that motorcycle accidents in Thailand result in significant loss of life and property. In response, the Department of Land Transport, through the Nakhon Nayok Provincial Transport Office, organized the camp to enhance knowledge and understanding of safe motorcycle riding. Funded by the Road Safety Fund, the project featured lecturers from both the public and private sectors, who provided insights on accident prediction among Gan Z-era motorcyclists, traffic laws, emergency procedures, first aid, and road accident prevention.
The event included a four-stage walk rally, focusing on traffic laws and regulations, helmet safety, road safety management, and good road etiquette. Additionally, the camp featured a campfire session emphasizing safe riding and helmet wearing. A total of 102 students from Ban Na "Nayok Phitthayakon" School participated, learning how to comply with traffic laws while riding safely.
The project received support from a diverse team of lecturers, including those from the Road Safety Academic Center, the Safety Policy Foundation, media, and academics. They shared their knowledge and experience, raising students' awareness of road safety and contributing to sustainable accident reduction efforts.
