National banks encouraged to promptly implement BI-FAST Payment

National banks are encouraged to promptly implement BI-FAST Payment, to replace Bank Indonesia’s National Clearing System (SKNBI), that will be implemented by the regulator at 2021-end.

To operate the BI-FAST Payment program, banks require infrastructure and complex operational support for national digital banks’ transaction equity through the digital platform.

“The implementation of BI-FAST requires an end-to-end operating system and IT infrastructure that also take into account operational excellence and leadership costs,” CEO of Telkomsigma Bhimo Aryanto noted in his statement here on Thursday.

BI-FAST Payment is one of the forms of Indonesia’s Payment System Blueprint (BSP) 2025 that is projected to become the national retail payment device for industries, retail, and small enterprises players.

The implementation of BI-FAST is not only limited to banks, but it has also become a required software for round-the-clock real-time digital transaction activities in banking or non-banking financial institutions to speed up the financial transaction clearing system.

To this end, Telkomsigma, a subsidiary of state-run communications firm PT Telkom Indonesia, presented DigiX BI-FAST as an end-to-end packaged solution ecosystem to support development of the digital transaction platform in Indonesia’s banking and financial industry.

“With DigiX BI-FAST, banks can easily integrate banking and fintech as well as other applications. In addition, the presence of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technology will be valuable for banks in providing services that align with the customer’s needs,” Aryanto explained.

DigiX solution can support 70 percent of the banking segment for implementing the BI-FAST system that is quick, easy, reliable, and affordable through the managed services scheme and is in accordance with Bank Indonesia’s technical specifications.

Telkomsigma also has an advantage in terms of over two decades of experience of being a provider of end-to-end IT Services, Cloud, and Data Center.
