According to Thai News Agency, reporters noted that during today’s Cabinet meeting, it was notable that Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister and Minister of Culture, took leave from the meeting. Meanwhile, Dr. Prommin Lertsuridej, Secretary-General to the Prime Minister, declined to answer media questions about the Prime Minister’s reasons for taking leave, merely chuckling. Meanwhile, close staff members denied any knowledge of the Prime Minister’s absence.
For today, there are still ministers who have requested leave from the Cabinet meeting, namely Mr. Atthakorn Sirilathayakorn, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, while General Nattapol Nakphanit, Deputy Minister of Defense, will attend the meeting via videoconference due to his commitment to attend the 138th anniversary of the founding of Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy in Nakhon Nayok Province.
Among the interesting Cabinet agenda items expected to be submitted for Cabinet approval is the consideration of additional compensation payments to those affected by the Thai-Cambodian border situation, including soldiers, police, and civilians, from the Disaster Relief Fund, the Prime Minister’s Office, and the central budget. Each person will receive 8-10 million baht in compensation for deaths and injuries.

The Ministry of Defense has proposed a project to develop the capabilities of the Air Force and a project to develop the capabilities of the Navy.
