Pipat Ratchakitprakarn Refutes Allegations of Defection, Criticizes Divisive Rumors

Bangkok: Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, a prominent leader from the Bhumjaithai Party, has publicly denied allegations that he plans to move southern MPs to other political parties. He expressed disdain for those attempting to sow discord within the party and reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining his integrity and standing at this stage of his career.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Pipat addressed recent rumors suggesting that he would lead southern MPs to align with other coalition parties. He clarified that no political figure has approached him to leave Bhumjaithai, dismissing the rumors as baseless. He emphasized his dedication to fulfilling his ministerial duties to the best of his abilities during his political tenure, especially under the government of former Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha.

Mr. Pipat further expressed his aversion to any actions that might disrupt the unity of the Bhumjaithai Party. He made it clear to his fellow Thai citizens that he has no intentions of betraying his political allies. At 70 years old, he stated his desire to preserve his reputation and legacy rather than pursue further political ambitions.
