Wang thonglang: Police raided a turkey party, a known gay bar, in the Wang Thonglang area, finding 27 partygoers involved in drug use. At approximately 01:30 a.m. on July 26, 2025, the integrated police unit comprising the Children and Women Protection Division (CDPD), Wang Thonglang Police Station, and the Crime Suppression Division, Metropolitan Police Bureau 4, led by Pol. Lt. Gen. Siam Boonsom, Pol. Maj. Gen. Noppasin Poolsawat, and Pol. Maj. Gen. Thananthon Rattanasithipak, inspected a building in Soi Ramkhamhaeng 21, Intersection 2, Plap Phla Subdistrict, Wang Thonglang District, following a tip-off about a drug party.

According to Thai News Agency, the incident took place in a two-storey building with three stories on an area of approximately 200 square wah. The upper floor housed approximately 40 rooms for service, while the lower floor featured a hall with sofas for sitting, drinking, eating, and singing karaoke. Dim lighting and colorful underwear displayed behind the counter created the setting where officers found 44 male customers, aged between 30 and 60. They were ordered to cease all activities while a search ensued, revealing a quantity of crystal meth, drug paraphernalia, and intravenous needles, which were seized as evidence. Urine tests were conducted on all male customers for drug presence.

Mr. Witthaya, the 42-year-old counter manager, informed that the place serves as a gathering spot for gay customers, charging 250 baht per person. He claimed that the drugs and paraphernalia were brought in by the customers themselves.

Pol. Col. Jessada Yangnok, Superintendent of Wang Thonglang Police Station, disclosed that this venue has been inspected and prosecuted several times but continues to operate secretly, selling alcohol and serving as a drug use venue. Initial urine test results revealed that 27 of the 44 partygoers tested positive for drugs. Two individuals faced charges for possession of crystal meth, two for using the drug, while 23 were referred to the rehabilitation system. An additional charge was placed on one caretaker. All individuals were taken to Wang Thonglang Police Station for legal proceedings.
