According to Thai News Agency, a stage and loudspeakers were set up at Victory Monument in preparation for speeches. The rally, announced by leaders Jatuporn Prompan, Dr. Warong Dejvigrom, Mr. Pichit Chaimongkol, Mr. Nitithorn Lamluea, Pol. Gen. Sereepisuth Temiyawes, and Dr. Tul Sitthisomwong, began at 12:00 noon. The protest emphasized that the new leader should be someone who minimizes potential damage to the nation.

Previously, Mr. Jatuporn outlined six specific conditions for forming a new government. The conditions include: the new Prime Minister must not come from the Pheu Thai Party; any constitutional amendment must not affect Sections 1 and 2; MOU 43,44 signed with Cambodia must be cancelled; the draft amendment to the Property Rights Act extending leasehold rights from 30 to 99 years must be repealed; the draft of the Integrated Entertainment Business Act or the Entertainment Complex Act allowing casinos must be repealed; and the draft Financial Business Central Act must be repealed. These conditions aim to prevent the new government from repeating past mistakes and causing long-term damage to the country.
