Bangkok: PTT Group has extended aid to individuals affected by the ongoing unrest along the Thai-Cambodian border and those impacted by flooding in Nan Province. This initiative saw the distribution of essential relief items to support those in distress.
According to Thai News Agency, PTT Group coordinated the delivery of aid to refugee shelters located in four provinces-Surin, Sisaket, Ubon Ratchathani, and Buriram. The relief packages were handed over to Mr. Chairat Kaewpiangphen, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM). The aid comprised 2,000 relief bags from PTT Public Company Limited, 9,480 bottles of drinking water from Thai Oil Public Company Limited (TOP) and IRPC Public Company Limited (IRPC), and 200 sets of general household medicines from Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited (GPSC).
In a concurrent effort, PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR) supplied 1,000 relief bags through the Royal Thai Army Headquarters, while PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) provided 3,200 relief bags and drinking water to the Third Army Area. Additionally, to address the flood situation in Nan Province, PTT and TOP collectively dispatched 500 relief bags to the affected residents.
PTT Group has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Thai community in times of crisis, ensuring that relief and resources are available to those in need during emergency situations.
