Bangkok: PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) reported achieving total revenue of 148 billion baht in the first half of the year, announcing an interim dividend of 4.10 baht per share. The company's operations during this period have been marked by successful investments in strategic areas, contributing over 30,200 million baht in government revenue for national development.
According to Thai News Agency, PTTEP has made significant progress in expanding its petroleum exploration and production business. A notable achievement is the acquisition of the Reggane II concession in Algeria, in partnership with Eni Algeria Exploration BV. The production sharing contract for this project is pending official announcement from the Algerian government. PTTEP holds a 34 percent stake in the concession, which has viable natural gas sources and further exploration potential. Additionally, the Reggane II concession is strategically positioned near the Algeria Touat Project, enhancing PTTEP's ability to manage and develop natural gas resources efficiently.
In the Middle East, PTTEP extended its production sharing contract for Oman Block 53 through a memorandum of understanding, which will now continue until 2050. Furthermore, the project development plan and production concession contract for the Abu Dhabi Offshore 2 Project received approval from the government of Abu Dhabi, following a successful natural gas discovery. This milestone will facilitate the Final Investment Decision (FID).
For the period, PTTEP reported total revenue of 148,531 million baht, equivalent to 4,431 million US dollars, with an average petroleum sales volume of 494,552 barrels of oil equivalent per day. This marks a slight increase compared to the first half of 2024, largely driven by the G1/61 project and increased crude oil sales from the Malaysian Block K project. Despite a decrease in average product sales price in line with global crude oil prices, PTTEP achieved a net profit of 30,067 million baht, equivalent to 895 million US dollars.
The company's Board of Directors approved an interim dividend payment of 4.10 baht per share, with the Record Date set for August 13, 2025, and the payment scheduled for August 22, 2025. PTTEP has delivered over 30,200 million baht in revenue to the government through taxes, royalties, and profit sharing, which supports national development initiatives including community improvement, education, and research.
Celebrating its 40th anniversary in June 2025, PTTEP remains committed to energy security and continues to expand its operations across 50 projects in 13 countries. The company's primary objective is to fulfill Thailand's energy needs, aligning with its mission to drive national progress and empower individuals to achieve their goals.
