Royal Thai Army Deploys Military Attach©s to Border for Damage Assessment

Bangkok: The Royal Thai Army has dispatched military attach©s to the border to evaluate the damage caused by Cambodian actions, emphasizing the need for qualitative communication of the situation. Army spokesman Major General Winthai Suvari revealed that military attaches and ambassadors from various countries have shown interest in surveying the damage on the Thai border, underscoring the importance of accurate information dissemination.

According to Thai News Agency, Major General Winthai Suvari addressed the deployment, noting the fluctuating number of military attaches involved. The deployment aligns with the Army’s strategic plan, focusing on the quality of information communicated. He highlighted the interest from foreign media and representatives in Thailand, including military attaches working in government agencies. While there are numerous appointments, the process may take time, and he urged the media to prioritize comprehensive communication over speed. The invited individuals will play a crucial role in conveying factual information about Thailand’s image, countering Cambodia’s attempts at distortion. The Army aims to present the truth regarding Cambodia’s treatment of Thai civilians, including damage to 20 hospitals.

The plan includes field visits divided into groups to assess the damage to schools, hospitals, and other properties. The delegation, led by Lieutenant General Anupap Sirimondol, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Royal Thai Army, includes the Assistant Military Attache and an ambassador coordinated through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in addition to at least 10 foreign news agencies based in Thailand.

Regarding Cambodia’s deployment of foreign media and military attaches to the border area opposite Chong An Ma in Ubon Ratchathani Province, the Army spokesman emphasized the area’s dangers. The safety of the diplomatic attaches remains a primary consideration for the Army in these deployments.
