Bangkok: The Royal Thai Army has received significant financial support aimed at encouraging soldiers stationed on the Thai-Cambodian border.
According to Thai News Agency, the aid came from the 66th National Defence College, marking a collaborative effort to boost the morale of frontline soldiers. Led by Mr. Sopon Racharaksa, Deputy Managing Director of Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, and Ms. Piyathida Praditbatuka, the group presented the Royal Thai Army with money, items, and drinks valued at over 1,000,000 baht. The contributions were formally handed over at the Royal Thai Army Headquarters, with Lt. Gen. Boonsin Phadklang, Commander of the 2nd Army Region, and other army commanders present to receive the donations.
On this occasion, Lt. Gen. Boonsin Phadklang expressed his gratitude to the 66th Class of the National Defence Volunteers. He stated, “I would like to thank you on behalf of all the border soldiers. In the past, the Royal Thai Army has provided full support to the Royal Thai Army Border Defense Forces, including military equipment, supplies, and clothing. However, with the kindness of the 66th Class of the National Defence Volunteers, the 2nd Army Region will use the budget and supplies received to the soldiers who are on duty at the border to the fullest extent possible, in order to improve their living conditions, especially in terms of security in the area, including medicine and various medical supplies, in order to be ready to perform their duty to protect the sovereignty of the nation to the fullest extent.”
The Royal Thai Army expressed appreciation for the ongoing support from various sectors, ensuring that soldiers will continue to perform their duties with dedication to protect Thailand’s sovereignty, religion, king, and people.
