Bangkok: The Senate postponed consideration of the establishment of four special committees. In a recent Senate meeting, chaired by General Kriangkrai Srirak, First Vice President of the Senate, it was decided to delay the establishment of these committees. The proposer highlighted that the allocation of committee members has not been completed.
According to Thai News Agency, General Kriangkrai informed the meeting that the proposers of all four motions had submitted a request to postpone the consideration. This decision aims to allow time for managing the number and proportion of members for each committee, ensuring a balanced and effective proposal for setting up these committees. The meeting attendees agreed to the postponement of consideration for all four motions.
The motions in question were aimed at urgently establishing four special committees. These include a committee to study social problems impacting Thai citizens, a committee to follow up on security solutions along Thailand’s borders, a committee to address approaches for solving natural disasters in the country, and a committee to develop sustainable solutions for Thailand’s economic issues.
