“Seua Pun” and Gang Members Imprisoned for Lat Phrao Armed Robbery

Bangkok: Two of the seven members involved in the notorious 3.4 million baht robbery in the Lat Phrao area, known by their aliases “Japanese Tiger” and “Football Tiger,” have been apprehended and sent to jail after evading capture for over two weeks. Authorities are intensifying their search efforts for another suspect, “Mr. Bo.”

According to Thai News Agency, investigators from the Phaholyothin Police Station have taken Mr. Worawat, also known as Seua Pun, aged 43, along with his accomplice, Mr. Ball, aged 35, from detention to the Ratchada Criminal Court. The police are seeking a detention order on charges of ‘jointly committing armed robbery at nighttime using a vehicle to commit the crime.’ The police have objected to bail, citing the severity of the crime and the risk of the suspects fleeing if released.

Reporters on the scene noted that before his transfer, Seua Pun’s mother visited him, bringing food and dessert, and spoke briefly with him. Despite attempts by reporters to question Seua Pun about the robbery, particularly why a shopping mall was targeted and his leadership role in the gang, he remained silent. When asked if he wished to apologize to his mother, who was present, Seua Pun simply replied affirmatively. During transport, his mother encouraged him to allow her to accompany him to court, to which he responded, advising her to return home safely.

Pol. Col. Sittisak Nakamat, Commander of Investigation Division 2, stated that Mr. Worawat denied all charges, alleging that during his time evading capture, he stayed in a car, frequently changing locations until his arrest. In contrast, Mr. Ball confessed to the charges brought against him. Meanwhile, police efforts are ongoing to locate ‘Mr. Bo,’ the first suspect who remains at large.
