Bangkok: SME D Bank has taken a proactive role in providing aid to both citizens and soldiers affected by the ongoing unrest at the Thai-Cambodian border. The Small and Medium Enterprise Development Bank of Thailand, commonly known as SME D Bank, has demonstrated its commitment by extending support through its deputy managing director, Mr. Jessada Ch. Charoenying, alongside executives and staff.
According to Thai News Agency, representatives from SME D Bank traveled to Buriram and Surin provinces to deliver essential items required by those impacted by the cross-border tensions. These efforts included distributing daily necessities to victims, with the donations being accepted at Buriram Hospital by its director, Dr. Phuwadon Kittiwattanasarn. Buriram Hospital serves as a critical treatment center for patients affected by the border unrest.
The donations extended to a shelter located at Rajamangala University of Technology Surin Campus, which is currently accommodating around 4,000 residents displaced by the situation. A representative from Mueang Surin District was also present to receive the aid, emphasizing the bank's reach and support within the community.
In further efforts to assist those affected, SME D Bank's headquarters has established a support center located in front of the SME Bank Tower building. This center is providing food, supplies, medicine, and other essential items to citizens and soldiers engaged in duties along the border. For individuals seeking more information or assistance, the bank has made available a dedicated Call Center at 1357-515.
