Bangkok: “Teng” has firmly denied circulating rumors about the postponement of the Prime Minister’s vote, asserting that the process will proceed as planned. Meanwhile, “Phakamon” emphasized the importance of honoring commitments, highlighting that the “People’s Party” has already finalized its decision and agreement.
According to Thai News Agency, the House of Representatives, under the leadership of Speaker Mr. Wan Muhammad Noor Matha, is currently reviewing a report on the Thai budget system. This review, conducted by the House Committee on Budget Preparation and Monitoring, presents issues and recommendations for reform. Mr. Natthaphong Ruangpanyawut, a prominent figure from the Prachachon Party and former chairman of the budget monitoring committee, addressed the House regarding unverified information suggesting a delay in the scheduled vote for the Prime Minister on September 5th. He categorically refuted these rumors.
Mr. Natthaphong urged the Chairman to adhere to the predetermined schedule, highlighting the significance of the upcoming agenda, which includes several draft laws and the pivotal Prime Ministerial vote. He stressed the necessity of conducting a thorough review to ensure a seamless process.
In response to the developments, Ms. Phakamon Nunan, deputy spokesperson for the People’s Party, took to Facebook following a proposal by the Pheu Thai Party. She asserted that if Chaikasem Nitisiri is chosen as the prime ministerial candidate, the party is prepared to dissolve Parliament post-policy statement. Ms. Phakamon reiterated the People’s Party’s decision and agreement, emphasizing the critical importance of maintaining integrity by honoring one’s commitments.
“Your back-and-forth has brought the country to this point. The People’s Party has already made its decision and signed an agreement. We insist that honoring your word is important,” Ms. Phakamon stated, underscoring the need for political stability and adherence to agreements.
