Beijing: Wan Nor and the Thai parliamentary delegation joined in paying respects to Mao Zedong. The memorial hall opened the Chairman Mao history room for visitors to see his belongings. There was also a photo of Mao with M.R. Kukrit, which is normally not open to the public.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Wan Muhammad Noor Matha, President of the National Assembly and Speaker of the House of Representatives, along with a delegation of the Thai Parliament, laid a wreath and paid their respects to the statue of Mao Zedong. The event took place in the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall at Tiananmen Square, where Mr. Zheng Zhenyu, Deputy Director of the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall Office, warmly welcomed the delegation.
Mr. Wan Muhammad Noor Matha, on behalf of the Thai parliamentary delegation, paid his respects to the embalmed body of Chairman Mao, which is kept in a clear glass coffin in the central hall. The hall maintains a low temperature and dim light, with four honor guards stationed around the body.
The delegation visited a room showcasing historical items used by Mao such as hats, glasses, and outfits from the establishment of the country. Notably, the room features a historical photo of Mao with former Thai Prime Minister M.R. Kukrit Pramoj, which is displayed on the third floor of the memorial hall, a section typically closed to the public.

Mr. Wan Muhammad Noor expressed his deepest respect and remembrance for Mao Zedong’s contributions to China and its people.
The visit concluded with an exchange of souvenirs and a group photo.
