Phitsanulok: Lt. Col. Thammanat Prompao, MP for Phayao and advisor to the Kla Tham Party, has disclosed a meeting with former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. The discussion, which took place at Thaksin’s residence on July 11, centered on developing strategies to address the US tariff wall, with a strong emphasis on prioritizing the interests of Thai citizens. Thammanat attended the meeting in his capacity as a former Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, representing the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, which is under the party’s oversight.

According to Thai News Agency, the meeting did not delve into the political climate but focused solely on economic measures to combat the US tariff implications. Thammanat clarified that his invitation to the meeting was in the capacity of an expert, rather than a governmental representative, ensuring that the discourse remained technical and centered on finding viable solutions.

During the session, all participants, including Thaksin, contributed suggestions, ultimately concluding that any actions taken must prioritize the welfare of Thai citizens, especially those in the agricultural sector.
