Thammanat Clarifies Ministerial Quota and Political Movements

Bangkok: “Thammanat” reveals that the ministerial position for “Anudit” is a quota for another party, not the NCPO. Lt. Col. Thammanat Prompao, advisor to the Klatham Party, traveled with Ms. Narumon Pinyosinwat, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives and leader of the Klatham Party. Members welcomed him before he paid respects at the party’s shrine and discussed the cabinet reshuffle.

According to Thai News Agency, Lt. Col. Thammanat stated that the Klatham Party expects to increase its MPs to over 26. While the party already has a significant number of MPs, officially, it holds 26 seats. He mentioned that political instability prevents him from making any bold claims about future increases.

Regarding the government of Prime Minister Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Thammanat noted that any cabinet adjustments are aligned with the party leader’s statements. He emphasized that decisions about ministerial positions, including the Deputy Prime Minister role, are under the Prime Minister’s discretion, with clarity anticipated soon.

Lt. Col. Thammanat addressed rumors about Lt. Col. Anudit Nakornthap’s potential ministerial appointment, clarifying that this would be a quota from another party. The Klatham Party will not interfere with such decisions, and any changes will be managed by the respective party.

When questioned about governmental stability amidst internal issues in the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party, Thammanat explained that a reserve force is essential for resolving political challenges. He assured that the Klatham Party would not engage in covert political maneuvers and stated the importance of clarity in political alliances.

Thammanat reiterated that any new MPs joining the Klatham Party will be announced transparently. He admitted the political landscape remains unstable, making it difficult to predict the number of new members. However, he expressed optimism about the party’s growth compared to previous governmental terms.

Finally, when asked about the Klatham Party’s role in government stability, Lt. Col. Thammanat emphasized the collective responsibility of all parties to support each other, refuting claims that the Klatham Party alone prevents governmental collapse.
