Tourist Police Reunite Lost French Boy with Family on Koh Phangan

Koh phangan: Koh Phangan tourist police successfully reunited a 13-year-old French boy with his family after he became separated during their journey to Koh Samui, Surat Thani Province.

According to Thai News Agency, Pol. Lt. Col. Winij Boonchit, Senior Inspector of Tourist Police Division 5, Division 2, Tourist Police Bureau 3, reported that the boy was found on Koh Samui after being reported missing by his father. The boy, without any belongings or a phone, went missing while traveling from Koh Tao to Koh Samui, prompting the father to seek assistance from the Tourist Police.

Pol. Lt. Col. Winij quickly coordinated with tourist police officers on Koh Phangan, who efficiently mobilized to locate the boy. He was eventually found near Thong Sala Pier in Koh Phangan District, Surat Thani Province. After ensuring his well-being by providing food and snacks, the officers took him to the Koh Phangan Tourist Police Station for further inquiries.

The reunion between the boy and his father was emotional, as they embraced and expressed their relief. The father expressed gratitude towards the Tourist Police for their swift and effective response, commending them for their dedication.

Pol. Lt. Col. Winij noted that the successful reunion brought joy not only to the family but also to the officers involved. He emphasized that such demonstrations of safety and care could encourage more tourists to visit Thailand.
