Chachoengsao: Two youths from Prachinburi shot each other in the middle of the road, injuring two after a disagreement. Dozens of teenagers from Chachoengsao opened fire on their rivals in the middle of Bang Nam Priao Road in Chachoengsao Province, leaving bullets strewn across the road and injuring two people after a failed attempt to resolve their differences.
According to Thai News Agency, late last night, Bang Nam Priao police investigated a shooting incident involving a group of teenagers, resulting in two injuries. The incident occurred on the Bang Nam Priao-Phai Dam Road in Village No. 7, Bang Nam Priao District, Chachoengsao Province. Upon arrival, they found rescue workers transporting the injured: Mr. Tae, 17, who had been shot in the right arm, and Mr. Kritsanarat, 18, who had been shot in the left leg and left arm. They were taken to Bang Nam Priao Hospital.
At the scene, more than 10 bullet casings were found strewn across the road, including 12-gauge shotgun shells and .32-caliber bullets. Two motorcycles, including the injured, had bullet holes in the headlights, rear of the vehicle, and exhaust pipes. Mr. Meechai, 53, a local resident, said that while he was watching TV in his home, he heard several gunshots before hearing the final loud sound. He went out to investigate and found a group of more than 10 youths shooting at each other. Two of the injured, who had been shot in the arms and legs, ran to his uncle’s house for help.
While the injured group gave consistent information that before the incident, they had arranged to meet up with 5 friends to ride 2 motorcycles to a convenience store, but they ran into the group of Mr. Din, an old enemy of their friends, who had arranged to clear things up, but only exchanged glances. Until they rode their motorcycles out of the convenience store and passed Mr. Din’s group, who had come in a group of 10 people, riding 5 motorcycles, before Mr. Din’s group opened fire on their group, forcing them to abandon their motorcycles and run, but Mr. Din’s group continued shooting everywhere.
Another friend of the injured person provided additional information that the incident stemmed from a previous grudge. Mr. Din’s group, a large group, often prone to provoke trouble. They had previously met to clear things up, but the resolution was inconclusive. Mr. Din’s group had previously pointed a knife at the face of his senior and slapped him, but he hadn’t filed a police report. Consequently, they had been challenging each other throughout the night. They had planned to shoot each other that night. They had brought banknote guns, but before the time was right, Mr. Din’s group opened fire.
