Accra: The Ada Community Chiefs Association has firmly denied allegations that Electrochem Ghana Limited sponsored its end-of-year gathering with a sum of GHS200,000.00. The association labeled these claims as false and misleading.
According to Ghana News Agency, Nene Dameh Sewu III, the Chief of Togbloku Okor and General Secretary of the Association, expressed disappointment over the spread of unverified information. He clarified that the end-of-year meeting, held on December 18, 2025, in Kasseh, was funded entirely by contributions from the association's executives.
Nene Sewu emphasized that Electrochem Ghana Limited did not sponsor the event but noted that the company presented citations to selected individuals in recognition of their support since the association's inception. He highlighted that the citations acknowledged individuals like Jetse Abram Kabu Akuaku III, the Paramount Chief of the Ada Traditional Area, and others for their contributions to the association's activities.
He further elaborated that the recognition given to Dr. Daniel McKorley was for a previous donation of GHS200,000.00, which occurred around three years ago and was not related to the recent gathering.
Nene Sewu urged the media and public to verify information before dissemination to prevent misinformation and disinformation. He reassured that the association is open to dialogue and encouraged direct engagement to foster peace and development in the Ada State.
