‘Chiang Mai’ Takes the No. 1 Spot as the Best City in Asia

Chiang mai: Deputy government spokesman reveals “Chiang Mai” has won the number 1 spot for the best city in Asia from the rankings of the website Travel + Leisure, while Bangkok is ranked 3rd, reflecting Thailand’s tourism potential at the international level.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Sasikarn Wattanachan, Deputy Government Spokesperson, revealed that from the ranking of the best cities in Asia in 2025 by the website Travel + Leisure, a leading tourism and lifestyle platform in the region, it was found that Chiang Mai Province, Thailand, received the highest score at number 1 with a score of 91.94 points, while Bangkok was ranked number 3 with a score of 91.34 points, after Tokyo, Japan, which was ranked number 2 with a score of 91.39 points.

The website states that Chiang Mai Province is outstanding in its culture, way of life, local food, and friendliness of its people. It has many important tourist attractions, such as Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Ratchaworawihan, a viewpoint of Chiang Mai that is popular with tourists from all over the world. The city is surrounded by nature and green mountains, has beautiful national parks, and conservation activities, such as taking care of elephants in various conservation centers, which have attracted a lot of attention from tourists.
