Bangkok: ‘Jiraporn’ emphasizes the government’s focus on creating good health in children and youth. On June 16, 2025, the Thailand Youth Vision Institute (TGI), with support from the Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth), organized the “Health Hazards Awareness Fair for the New Generation: Stepping into the 15th Year” at the Miracle Grand Convention Hotel, Bangkok. Ms. Jiraporn Sindhuphrai, Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office, presided over the ceremony and received six policy proposals from institute representatives to address the issue of e-cigarettes and reduce health threats to children and youth.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Jiraporn stated during the opening ceremony that children and youth are the most important resources for national development. The government, led by Prime Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra, places great importance on ensuring the good health of children and youth so they can grow up to be an essential force in national development.
Ms. Jiraporn highlighted the seriousness of the e-cigarette issue, mentioning that the Prime Minister has issued policies and orders to accelerate the suppression of e-cigarette usage. From February 26 to June 14, 2025, there were 2,865 cases of e-cigarettes seized, with 2,190,412 pieces of evidence collected, valued at more than 509 million baht. The government has been implementing strict crackdowns while also focusing on public relations and awareness campaigns, especially in educational institutions.
Ms. Jiraporn congratulated the Youth Vision Institute of Thailand on its 15th anniversary and praised the institute’s ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of life and potential of the new generation. She emphasized the vital role of the youth sector in driving the future of Thai society.
