Narumon Awaits Talks with MPs Amidst Deputy Minister Seat Dispute

Bangkok: “Narumon” is set to engage in discussions with MPs this afternoon following dissatisfaction over Lt. Col. Anudit’s occupancy of the deputy minister’s seat. Mrs. Narumon Pinyosinwat, the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives and leader of the Kla Tham Party, addressed the cabinet reshuffle, underscoring that the decision lies with the Prime Minister regarding the ministry in which the Kla Tham Party will serve.

According to Thai News Agency, Mrs. Narumon emphasized that the party’s quota remains unchanged and there are no issues concerning the allocation of positions. She expressed no concern over whether the Kla Tham Party needs a deputy prime minister position, describing the party as a family without internal conflicts. The decision rests with the Prime Minister, as the party has not engaged in negotiations but is focused on supporting the government through its challenges. Mrs. Narumon conveyed her willingness to assist the Prime Minister and contribute to resolving issues faced by the government, ensuring beneficial outcomes for the people.

Mrs. Narumon also stated that she is unfazed about possibly leaving her role as Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives for another ministry. Regarding the Kla Tham Party’s MPs, she confirmed the official count stands at 26, with the unofficial number pending discussion at the party meeting this afternoon. She assured that the actual count exceeds previous announcements.

Addressing rumors about party members’ dissatisfaction with Air Chief Marshal Anudit Nakornthap, the party’s strategy chairman, Mrs. Narumon refuted claims of discontent over his reported appointment as deputy education minister. She confirmed that the matter would be addressed at the party meeting and expressed confidence in resolving any issues amicably.
