Bangkok: The Meteorological Department has reported that northern Thailand will experience minimal rainfall, while the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand are expected to face waves ranging from 1 to 2 meters in height.
According to Thai News Agency, upper Thailand is predicted to receive little rain due to the weak southwest monsoon affecting the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand. Additionally, a low-pressure area currently covers upper Vietnam and the Gulf of Tonkin, contributing to the decreased rainfall.
Waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand are described as weak, with the upper Andaman Sea experiencing waves between 1 to 2 meters high. In areas experiencing thunderstorms, wave heights may exceed 2 meters. Boat operators in these regions are advised to exercise caution and to avoid navigating through thunderstorm-prone zones.
