Pheu Thai MPs Deploy Patrol Teams to Protect Ubon Ratchathani Residents’ Property Amidst Ongoing Clashes

Ubon ratchathani: Pheu Thai Party MPs have established patrol teams to safeguard the property of Ubon Ratchathani residents, who have been compelled to evacuate due to ongoing clashes between Thailand and Cambodia. This initiative aims to ease the concerns of those who have had to leave their homes far behind.

According to Thai News Agency, Somkid Chuekong, Deputy Secretary-General to the Prime Minister, highlighted the continuing conflict between the Thai and Cambodian armies, which has significantly affected the public. In response, the government has been working to ensure the safety of its citizens by setting up shelters in various secure locations for those in high-risk areas. The Pheu Thai Party has mobilized its MPs to assist and coordinate efforts across multiple fronts. While tensions persist, residents in shelters are increasingly anxious about the state of their homes, livestock, and farms, particularly in the Nam Yuen and Nam Khun districts of Ubon Ratchathani Province. Pheu Thai Party MP Worasit Kaltinan and Watcharapol Chuekong, Honorary Advisor to the President of the Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Administrative Organization, along with their teams, are conducting patrols in high-risk zones to secure residents’ property and prevent incidents similar to those previously experienced in shelters.

Mr. Somkid also mentioned the coordination with relevant agencies to address the concerns of over 20,000 individuals currently residing in shelters. Efforts include arranging for celebrities to visit and offer moral support to the shelter residents, further helping to alleviate their anxiety. The Pheu Thai Party remains committed to serving all citizens to the fullest extent possible.
