In response to questions about whether a cabinet reshuffle is forthcoming, Mr. Phumtham noted that media speculation persists, but confirmed that no such discussions have taken place within the government. He reiterated that conversations with Mr. Anutin have not included any talk of reshuffling, and both Mr. Anutin and the Prime Minister’s Secretary-General have denied these claims.

Regarding public opinion polls suggesting changes in the cabinet, particularly concerning the Ministry of Defense, Mr. Phumtham expressed openness to such changes, acknowledging that situations evolve. He emphasized the importance of understanding public sentiment while questioning the standards and motivations behind the polls. Nonetheless, he asserted that the results and implications of such polls are explainable and refrained from making any critical comments on their political nature.
