Pol. Lt. Col. Ekkathanat Resigns from AMLO to Join NBTC Superboard

Bangkok: Pol. Lt. Col. Ekkathanat Limsangkas has resigned from his position as Deputy Secretary-General of the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) following his appointment as a member of the NBTC's Broadcasting Affairs Performance Monitoring and Evaluation Committee.

According to Thai News Agency, Ekkathanat's resignation comes after the Senate meeting No. 2, held during the First Ordinary Session of the Year on July 8, 2025. The meeting resulted in his selection as a member of the NBTC's Performance Monitoring and Evaluation Committee on Broadcasting Business, pursuant to Section 70 of the Act on the Organization for Allocation of Radio Frequency and the Regulation of Broadcasting, Television and Telecommunications Businesses B.E. 2553 (2010).

Ekkathanat stated that his resignation from AMLO is in compliance with the regulations that require committee members to relinquish any independent occupation or profession that could present a conflict of interest. His resignation takes effect on July 21, 2025, at 4:30 p.m., aligning with Section 8 of the Act on the Organization for Allocation of Radio Frequency and the Regulation of Broadcasting, Television and Telecommunications Businesses B.E. 2553 (2010) and its amendments.
