Bangkok: The NBTC has announced an urgent meeting set for July 27 to assess the ongoing situation at the Thai-Cambodian border. The meeting aims to evaluate the current developments and devise strategies to manage the situation effectively.
According to Thai News Agency, the CCSA is also planning an urgent meeting tomorrow to evaluate the results of the current measures and consider additional support and remedial actions. Mr. Jirayu Huangsap, spokesman for the Prime Minister’s Office, stated that the Special Operations Center for the Administration of the Situation on the Thai-Cambodian Border (SOC-CMB) has been diligently monitoring the situation. The focus remains on ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and businesses in the border regions.
The Task Force Center for Border Situation Administration (TCSA) is scheduled to convene at 9:30 a.m. at the Wichitwatthakan Meeting Room, National Security Council Office, Government House. The agenda will cover an assessment of the situation’s trends, impacts of force usage, and measures to aid affected individuals and businesses. The meeting will also discuss communication strategies to promote understanding of the situation both domestically and with the international community. This follows Cambodia’s request to the United Nations Security Council for intervention.
Mr. Jirayu emphasized that the CCSA is committed to continuously assessing the situation and gathering input from various sectors to formulate appropriate responses. The aim is to remain adaptable to the rapidly evolving circumstances and to communicate progress transparently and honestly.
