Election comission asks elected legislators to submit wealth reports

Today we have conducted a plenary appointment of elected members of the House of Representatives and for the eighth day of waiting for the state assets to be submitted to the central KPU

Waisai (ANTARA) - Raja Ampat District General Election Commission (KPU), West Papua Province, has reminded the elected legislators to submit reports on their wealth. Raja Ampat KPU chairman Steven Eibe said here Monday that he had appointed 20 legislators after the results of the 2019 elections were declared.

According to the legislative rules for the period 2019-2024, determined by the KPU, he was obliged to submit a report on the assets of the state administration, he said.

The submission of reports is made seven days after the first plenary is chaired, according to him.

"Today we have conducted a plenary appointment of elected members of the House of Representatives and for the eighth day of waiting for the state assets to be submitted to the central KPU," he said.

Therefore, he hoped that the 20 members of the established Raja Ampat legislature would immediately make their wealth reports and submit them to the KPU.

"If the elected legislative member does not submit the wealth report, then the person concerned will not be appointed," he added.
