According to Thai News Agency, criminals are employing these fake signal boosters, known as FBS machines, to manipulate mobile networks and create a facade of legitimacy. By mimicking the names of trusted organizations, they are able to send messages that appear authentic, thereby increasing the likelihood of recipients clicking on the malicious links.
